I feel like there must be a cliché about kaleidoscopes
because it seems too fucking simple
colorful shards shuffling around
using mirrors and sorcery
to make sense of it all
it’s symmetry
it’s math
it’s love

It is not a cardboard tube with one of those bullshit playground
mirrors wedged inside against busted pieces
of broken plastic from some warehouse
that also makes the nice toys
that more prosperous
little boys
and girls
get
to love
